The Magic of Sculptra for Natural Rejuvenation.

Before and after Sculptra treatment results showing natural facial rejuvenation in a woman

If you’ve sat in my chair, chances are I’ve brought up including Sculptra in your treatment plan. It’s one of my all-time favorite treatments because it delivers natural, undetectable results.

Sculptra doesn’t just target the signs of aging — it also improves overall skin quality. Nicknamed the “liquid facelift,” this treatment helps patients achieve a lifted, refreshed, and youthful appearance without looking “done.”

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra isn’t your typical dermal filler — it’s a biostimulator. Its main ingredient, poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), works by stimulating your body’s natural collagen and elastin production. Unlike traditional fillers that add instant volume, Sculptra encourages your skin to rebuild its own structure gradually, making it a safer and more natural approach to facial rejuvenation.

Where is it used?

Medical professional marking a woman's face for cosmetic injectables or dermal fillers, targeting areas like temples, midface, and nasolabial folds for anti-aging and wrinkle treatment.

Your provider will customize a treatment plan based on your individual goals. Commonly treated areas include:

  • Temples

  • Midface (cheeks)

  • Nasolabial folds (smile lines)

  • Marionette lines

  • Chin shadows- Jawline

Why choose Sculptra?

Before and after comparison of a woman's face showing reduced wrinkles and improved volume after Sculptra treatment, illustrating the effects of aging and collagen stimulation for facial rejuvenation.

As we age, several changes occur beneath the skin:

  • Fat pads separate and shift, leading to volume loss.

  • Collagen and elastin production slows, reducing skin’s firmness.

  • Bone density decreases, altering facial structure.

  • Skin loses elasticity, creating sagging and fine lines.

These changes often lead to heavier eyelids, deepened folds, jowling, and skin laxity.

How Sculptra Helps:

Sculptra works with your body to rebuild subtle volume, restore support, and improve skin quality. By placing Sculptra in posterior areas of the face (where aging begins), we create a natural lifting effect. Over time, as your collagen and elastin stores are replenished, your skin appears smoother, firmer, and healthier.

When will I see results?

Sculptra is not instant. Results appear gradually as your body produces new collagen and elastin — typically within 6 to 8 weeks. For best outcomes, treatments are spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart.

How many vials do I need?

Two unlabeled vials, containing a cosmetic injectable like Sculptra, stand on a light-colored surface with a dark green background. A finger gently touches one of the vials.

Sculptra is sold per vial, and we typically recommend two vials per session. A general guideline is one vial per decade of life.

Example: If you’re 44 years old, you’ll likely need 4 vials total, split into two sessions. Some patients may require more or fewer vials depending on individual goals and desired results.

How long do results last?

Once you complete your initial treatment series, results can last up to two years. To maintain your refreshed look, we recommend a yearly maintenance session with two vials. Since we continue losing collagen and elastin as we age, keeping up with maintenance helps preserve long-term results.

How much does it cost?

  • Cost per vial: $850

  • Typical session (2 vials): $1,700

Your provider will give you a personalized treatment plan and pricing based on your goals.

What’s the downtime?

One of the best things about Sculptra is that there’s little to no downtime. You may notice temporary fullness in treated areas for 24–48 hours — this is normal and will subside as the product integrates.

Possible mild side effects include:

  • Minor swelling

  • Bruising

  • Tenderness

Pro tips:

  • Take arnica pellets a few days before your appointment to reduce bruising.

  • Avoid blood thinners when possible before treatment (consult your provider first).

Most patients look normal immediately after treatment, and if bruising occurs, it typically resolves within a few days to a week.
